Summer School

Dear Students,

⚠️ No courses will be offered as part of the summer school program at our University during the summer term of the 2025–2026 academic year.

🔴 Students planning to take courses at other higher education institutions as part of their summer school program during the summer term of the 2025-2026 academic year must complete the “Application for Taking Courses at Summer Schoolform in full and upload it to the relevant application portal.

📅 Application Deadline: Applications must be completed before the final registration deadline specified in the registration calendar announced by the university where the course will be taken.

📌IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  🔹Students in our department may take our department coursesService Courses (courses with codes MAT and FİZ MDB), and courses in the Social Electives Group, provided they meet the course equivalency requirements and may take courses as part of summer school at higher education institutions listed in the “Universities Where Courses Can Be Taken” list.

 🔹The total number of courses taken during Summer School may not exceed 9 (nine) credits, provided there are no scheduling conflicts. 

 🔹Students taking courses from other universities or other departments must obtain “approved” confirmation from the instructor of the relevant course regarding the course content. “For a course to be considered equivalent, regardless of the number of class hours, must be at least 65% of the credit hours of the course to be considered equivalent, and at least 75% of the content of the course to be considered equivalent (based on the course’s weekly syllabus) must match the content of the course to be considered equivalent.”

 🔹No retroactive adjustments will be made for students who take summer school courses without first submitting a written request to the department and receiving approval. Grades for courses taken without prior application will be deemed invalid.

 🔹Students who submit a request to take a summer school course but decide to withdraw for any reason must submit a withdrawal request to the department within two weeks of the start of classes. Otherwise, the course will be recorded in their system as having been taken and failed with an F0 grade.

 🔹To enroll in courses with prerequisites, you must have fulfilled the prerequisite requirements. Courses that are prerequisites for one another cannot be taken in the same term. Course registrations made without meeting prerequisite requirements will not be accepted, and any courses taken and grades earned under such circumstances will be deemed invalid. For this reason, please be sure to check the prerequisite status of the courses you plan to take before selecting your courses.
