  • Students who are unable to select courses via OBS during the course registration period due to circumstances such as Erasmus, irregular enrollment, etc.
  • Students
who cannot select courses due to course conflicts For conflicting courses, the principles outlined below apply depending on whether the courses have been taken previously: (YTÜ Course Registration and Selection Guidelines)
    a) If two practical courses conflict, these courses cannot be taken simultaneously, regardless of whether they were previously taken.
    b) If one course is a practical course and the other is a theoretical course, these courses may be taken provided that the theoretical course has been taken previously and the student has earned a passing grade other than F0.
    c) If two theoretical courses conflict, these courses may be taken provided that at least one of them has been taken previously and the student has earned a passing grade other than F0.
    d) Students who meet the conditions for taking overlapping courses as outlined in clauses b and c may take one of the courses through the student information system and the other by decision of the faculty administrative board, limited to once per semester.

(Students in this situation must submit a written request to the relevant department chair to take the overlapping course; their requests will be processed following the department chair’s approval and a decision by the faculty administrative board, and the information will be entered into the OBS system by the faculty deanship. The deadline for submitting a written request to the faculty to take overlapping courses is September 23, 2026.)

  • Students who wish to take required courses from different departments due to scheduling conflicts may select courses from their desired group on the independent course registration day. If they are unable to register on the independent registration day, they may submit their requests via a written petition.

If they apply to the Department Chair, they will be able to take the courses by submitting a written request. The deadline for requests to add or drop courses for

valid reasons is Friday, October 9, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

  • Students must exercise caution when selecting courses. Any errors made during course selection (such as taking a course from the wrong group or selecting the wrong course) cannot be corrected via a written request.
  • During course selection week, students must monitor course capacity limits and ensure they register for their courses. Insufficient course capacity will not be accepted as a valid excuse, and any petitions regarding this matter will not be considered.
  • Regarding the Capstone Project, faculty members will announce the Capstone Project topics on the Avesis pages.

***NOTE: Students may seek assistance from their advisors listed in OBS while registering for courses.
